Rural women represent more than a quarter of the global population. She cultivates land, plants seeds and feeds nations. She is an indispensable part of agriculture, but it is still searching for its space: a space with easy access to technology, property and financing. A space full of opportunities and free of prejudice.
Women in Agriculture say barriers to equality persist, removal could take decades, study reveals. In a survey conducted by Corteva, women say they see progress but that it’s too slow. In addition to citing financial disparities, fewer than half feel acknowledged, heard, or empowered to make decisions.
