What matters the most to me is our relationships. When I think of our customers… our interactions with our teams… our conversations with our peers… it’s important that we leverage ID&E from the standpoint of who we are.

“If we do this correctly, we will become the company of choice. Corteva will be the industry leader, when you think of inclusion, diversity and equity.”

Gilbert Sanchez, Senior Logistics Manager

Gilbert’s story

How do Corteva’s efforts to advance inclusion, diversity and equity make you feel?

Corteva is listening. They’re allowing me to embrace who I am - you know, who I will become within the Corteva journey.

What has been the most fulfilling part of watching this journey take root and grow?

Culture of Belonging allows us to invite our team members to come in on the first day of the job and be who they are. Share their differences. Their knowledge with us. Their learnings, in terms of just not only jobs, but in terms of life, as a whole. When you think in terms of culture of belonging, think about that active embracing of our team members.

What one piece of advice would you give your partners and industry stakeholders, to make them begin their own ID&E journey?

Ensure that you’re listening and you’re learning from everyone, in order to achieve the ultimate success. And the ultimate success is to win the market.

What matters most to you about advancing ID&E in agriculture?

What matters the most to me is our relationships. When I think of our customers… our interactions with our teams… our conversations with our peers… it’s important that we leverage ID&E from the standpoint of who we are.

“Inclusion, Diversity and Equity. These three elements combine to create a true sense of belonging – a feeling that occurs when each person feels able to bring their full self to work, contribute to their fullest potential, and thrive.”
