Application

Foliar application only: Apply by ground or aerial application.

For best results, apply at the suggested timings in the Directions for Use table on the Utrisha N label.

Apply in the morning to maximise the colonization of the bacteria in the crop. It is recommended to apply during the period of maximum opening of the stomata at ambient temperatures between 10 and 30°C.

Apply to healthy crops that are actively growing. Do not apply to crops that are affected by stress factors including but not limited to soil salinity, water stress, frost, pests and diseases, poor nutrition, and other adverse factors.

Utrisha N is rain-fast 1 hour after application once spray has dried. If rain occurs in less than an hour, retreatment will be required.

DO NOT apply in combination with chlorinated products, water (> 1 ppm Chlorine-), or surfactants, fertilizers and plant protection products that contain them. If chlorine is present above this level, use a chlorine neutralising product.

DO NOT apply to crops within 7 days of a copper application (before or after Utrisha ® N).

Utrisha ® N has been tested as a mixture with various plant protection products, fertilizers and adjuvants. For compatibility with other products please contact your Corteva Territory Manager.

Utrisha N will be adversely affected by a number of factors. It is critical that the following instructions are followed to maintain the product efficacy.

DO NOT mix in water with a chlorine content of greater than 1 ppm.

DO NOT mix the product into a solution with a pH less than 5 or more than 8.

DO NOT mix with products containing copper.

Mixing order (not all steps will apply to all situations):

• Half fill tank with non-chlorinated/neutral pH water,
• Begin agitation,
• Wettable powders/dry flowables,
• Soluble concentrates or liquid flowables,
• Capsule suspensions or suspension emulsions,
• Emulsifiable concentrates
• Soluble liquids,
• COC, NIS, MSO, other adjuvants,
• Pre-mix Utrisha N into a slurry before adding to spray tank,
• Top off with liquid carrier,
• Spray immediately after mixing.

Stewardship

Treated crops may be harvested or grazed any time following application of Utrisha N. If mixing with other products, always observe the withholding period defined on the partner label(s).

Follow best practices for spray drift management. Use anti-drift nozzles, apply in low-wind weather and use droplet spray quality appropriate for tank-mix partners. Refer to tank-mix partner labels for appropriate spray droplet size.

Dilute spraying
• Use a sprayer designed to apply high volumes of water up to the point of run-off and match to the crop being sprayed.
• Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy. Apply sufficient water to cover the crop to the point of first run-off. Avoid excessive run-off.
• The required water volume may be determined by applying different test volumes, using different settings on the sprayer, from industry guidelines or expert advice.
• Add the amount of product specified in the DIRECTIONS FOR USE table for each 100 L of water. Spray to the point of runoff.

Concentrate spraying
Use a sprayer designed and set up for concentrate spraying (that is a sprayer which applies water volumes less than those required to reach the point of run-off) and matched to the crop being sprayed. Set up and operate the sprayer to achieve even coverage throughout the crop canopy using your chosen water volume.
Determine an appropriate dilute spray volume (see dilute spraying above) for the crop canopy. Consult your local advisor to determine this volume. This is needed to calculate the concentrate mixing rate. The mixing rate for concentrate spraying can then be calculated in the following way:
Example
1. Dilute spray volume as determined above: e.g. 1000 L/ha
2. Your chosen concentrate spray volume: e.g. 500 L/ha
3. The concentration factor is 2X (1000 / 500)
4. If the dilute label rate is 50 g/100 L, then the concentrate rate becomes 2 X 50, i.e. 100 g/100 L of concentrate spray

The chosen spray volume, amount of product per 100 L of water and the sprayer set up and operation may need to be changed as the crop grows. For further information on concentrate spraying, users are advised to consult relevant industry guidelines, undertake
appropriate competency training. Always follow Industry Best Practices.

Whether dilute or concentrate spraying, always apply a minimum of 333 g/ha of Utrisha N.

After using Utrisha N, empty the tank and completely drain the system. Rinse the tank, pumps, lines, hoses, filters, nozzles by circulating clean water through the system. Drain and repeat the rinsing procedure three times.
