Consistent, even seed treatment is essential for the most effective protection and strong crop establishment. Keep these key practices in mind to ensure every seed gets the coverage it needs to break through and succeed.
Application Tips
Seed quality matters: Use clean, certified seed with uniform density. Avoid dusty or frozen seed to ensure proper coverage and reduce build-up.
Formulation and rate: Water-based formulations reduce dust-off and minimize build up on equipment.
Accurate calibration: Match seed flow to product flow to achieve consistent application.
Environmental conditions: High humidity slows drying and low temperatures can affect product flow and coverage.
Application tips for Lumiscend™ LUXE and Straxan™:
- Mix Lumiscend LUXE and Straxan before use.
- Shake jugs.
- Use an internal mixer for drums.
- Dilution can be used to increase coverage – up to 1:1.
- If recirculating drums to mix – DO NOT use filters on pumps during recirculation.
- Follow label directions, mix accurately, and calibrate equipment.
- Monitor treated seed for even coverage and handle gently.
