Our panel chose a short list of video submissions. Then fans on social media voted for their favorites. We have two winners: congratulations to Hannah Riensche and Matthew Sperry.

The Quiet Crisis

Hannah Riensche

The most important farming resource we have are farmers themselves. In order to feed and sustain a growing planet, farmers need to step back and make sure they are taking care of themselves first.

Global Farmfluencers

Matthew Sperry

Matthew Sperry compares farming practices used in Zambia and South Dakota. As the world keeps growing, precision agriculture helps farmers continue to put food on the world’s tables.

How do you get young people interested in a career in agriculture?

We partnered with 4-H to launch Farmfluencer. It’s a contest meant to inspire the next generation of farmers, helping them understand the role of innovation and technology in agriculture today.

We asked, “What does farming mean to you?” and “Does an industry that’s been around for 10,000 years have a future for you?”

Young people answered. They spoke out about sustainable farming, emerging farming technologies, and how farmers are tackling rural food insecurity.

And after 130 submissions, 112,000 page visits, and 3.5 million impressions, we found the most important thing. We found farming’s next generation.

Farmfluencer is sponsored by Corteva Agriscience in partnership with 4-H.
