Why Enlist E3® soybeans are the
No. 1-selling soybean technology in the United States
Each year, growers continue to find return on investment, flexibility and reliability in Enlist E3® soybeans and the Enlist® weed control system. That’s why nearly three-quarters of farmers said Enlist E3 soybeans are the most profitable soybean system, and a similar number reported Enlist herbicides as their primary herbicide choice, according to a 2025 survey.1
To date, more than 150 million acres have been sprayed with Enlist herbicides. Here’s what growers across the country said are their top reasons for trusting the system year after year.
Tank-mix flexibility
With Enlist One® herbicide and more than 1,700 qualified tank-mix partners, the Enlist weed control system gives farmers choices to customize weed control programs based on their specific needs and weed pressure. With no calendar cutoff dates for Enlist herbicide, that flexibility continues throughout the growing season, allowing growers to make timely applications when conditions are right.
Enlist One herbicide can be tank mixed with many other herbicides, such as glufosinate, glyphosate or Enversa® herbicide, for exceptional weed control and resistance management. Growers can also tank mix AMS with Enlist One herbicide, a recommended practice that improves uptake, especially with hard water or cooler temperatures. That’s a major benefit over the dicamba system since the dicamba label strictly prohibits tank-mixing with AMS because of increased risk for volatility and crop damage.
On-target application
Herbicides need to land and stay on target to deliver effective weed control. With the inherent near-zero volatility of 2,4-D choline, Enlist One® herbicide provides effective weed control and stays where it is sprayed.
Enlist One® herbicide is formulated with Colex-D® technology, which helps reduce physical drift — the movement of spray particles away from the intended target during application. Because of reduced potential for physical drift and inherent low volatility, Enlist One® herbicide does not require a drift reduction agent (DRA) or volatility reduction agent (VRA) in the tank. According to labels of the recently registered dicamba products, every dicamba application requires a mandatory DRA and VRA, adding extra cost and time for each application. Dicamba off-target movement has been well documented by universities and state pesticide regulatory agencies, and exposure to even very low levels can cause crop damage, including soybean cupping.
Weed control results
Enlist One herbicide is the backbone of a strong program approach for the Enlist weed control system. Enlist One allows farmers to include additional sites of action in their tank mix to help minimize the development of herbicide resistance and take out hard-to-control weeds, including:
- Morningglory
- Palmer amaranth2
- Lambsquarters
- Marestail2
- Waterhemp
- Giant and common ragweed
- Velvetleaf
Glyphosate and glufosinate alone can fall short of optimal weed control in Enlist E3® soybeans and do little to slow the development of resistant weed populations. Using Enlist One in a tank mix with multiple sites of action provides stronger, more consistent weed control.
