To win in weed control, farmers must have the best hand – the right products for their unique management needs. With unpredictable weather and weed pressure and the threat of weed resistance, farmers can’t bet it all on black. They have to go all in on their weed control plan with multiple modes of action that deliver exceptional performance and cleaner fields. To help your customers set up a strong foundation for weed management in 2026, consider these preemergence residual herbicides from Corteva Agriscience.
Available for the first time in 2025 for corn acres, Resicore® REV herbicide is a powerful premix solution of encapsulated acetochlor (Group 15), mesotrione (Group 27) and clopyralid (Group 4). Resicore REV herbicide features up to eight weeks of residual, giving farmers strong weed control foundation. The corn herbicide not only controls more than 75 tough broadleaf and grass weeds but also provides supercharged tank-mix compatibility – allowing farmers to customize their crop protection plan for their unique needs.

Eric Scherder, Ph.D., U.S. crop protection technical lead, Corteva Agriscience, said farmers who used Resicore REV herbicide for the first time this season were thankful for the flexibility and results.
“This year, Resicore REV helped solve a lot of the time management considerations and gave farmers some positive economic benefits,” Scherder said. “Farmers have the choice to apply preplant or preemergence to get early season weed control with the herbicide. This flexibility also allows them to add Resicore REV in the tank with nutrients and other crop protection products to maximize their inputs and time while still getting exceptional weed control.”
For soybean farmers, Kyber® Pro herbicide came to the marketplace to deliver premier preemergence weed control. This premium solution features three modes of action, including a Group 15 active ingredient, to help farmers achieve weed-free fields. With a long-lasting residual that can exceed six weeks under optimal conditions, your customers can widen the window for their postemergence herbicide application. Scherder said this could be considerably helpful to keep ALS- and PPO-resistant weeds like Palmer amaranth and waterhemp at bay while farmers continue the trend of planting soybeans early.
“Over the last few years, farmers have been planting soybeans earlier and earlier,” Scherder said. “With Kyber Pro, farmers got more time. It may take 21 days for beans to get up. But, when you’ve got that six-to-eight-week residual, you’re allowing the crop to get all the way up to the typical postemergence application timing before that weed control starts to give out. That’s a real advantage.”
Sonic® Boom herbicide was another preemergence solution added to the Corteva Agriscience™ portfolio this year. During the debut season, Sonic Boom herbicide provided farmers with excellent resistance management and weed control. A 2:1 ratio of metribuzin (Group 5) and sulfentrazone (Group 14) gives farmers four to six weeks of residual activity, better crop safety and improved tank-mix flexibility with versatile application timing. Scherder said the flexibility farmers get from Sonic Boom herbicide gives them a lot of choices to streamline their operation.
“With Sonic Boom, farmers are not only getting two proven modes of action to defend fields against driver weeds, especially small-seeded weeds,” Scherder said. “But they also get the ability to tank-mix additional weed control solutions, including Group 15 herbicides for a well-rounded preemergence program.”
As you start tailoring weed control programs with your customers, it’s crucial to include products that will help them mitigate risk and defend their acres against hard-to-kill weeds.
