Cornel B. Fuerer

Senior Vice President, Strategic Advisor

Cornel B. Fuerer serves as strategic advisor, a role he has held since September 2025. As such, he sits on the Corteva executive leadership team and oversees Corteva’s planned separation into two publicly traded companies in the second half of 2026.

Previously, Cornel served as senior vice president, chief legal and public affairs officer and corporate secretary, leading functions that oversaw all legal, board and public affairs matters globally.

Prior to Corteva, Cornel spearheaded the integration of the legal teams across Dow AgroSciences, DuPont Pioneer and DuPont Crop Protection to become a single, global function. He also led Corteva’s separation and spinoff from DowDuPont and the company’s listing on the New York Stock Exchange in 2019. Before the merger Cornel held various leadership positions in DuPont’s legal function and served in these roles from Switzerland, Hong Kong, Germany, and the United States.

Cornel earned his law degree from the University of Geneva School of Law and holds a master’s degree from the New York University School of Law.
