Jennifer Johnson is Senior Vice President, Chief Legal Officer, a role she assumed in September 2025. As such, she leads a global team of more than 160 employees overseeing all legal matters globally.
Jennifer joined Corteva from International Flavors and Fragrances (IFF), a Fortune 500 company, where she was executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary from 2021 to 2025. As such, she led IFF’s global legal, sustainability and public affairs teams.
Prior to IFF, Jennifer worked at DuPont from 2013 to 2021 taking on increasing leadership positions in DuPont’s legal team, focusing primarily on commercial, litigation, and intellectual property strategies for its nutrition and biosciences division. Her background also includes a partner role at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP, a leading, global intellectual property law firm, where she worked for 10 years representing pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies in patent litigation.
Jen holds a Ph.D. in plant biology and a B.S. in genetics and plant biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned her J.D. from the University of Washington. Combining both her interests, she served as a lecturer at the University of California, Berkeley School of Law, where she taught biotechnology law.
