Thanks to He Mea ‘Ono Poi and Pomai Kulolo LLC

We're proud to be home to He Mea ‘Ono Poi's lo‘i on Kaua‘i that supports the state Department of Education's farm-to-school initiative! The kalo used by Pomai Kulolo LLC, which provided the first round of poi to more than 70 Oʻahu schools, was grown on our Field 107 on Kaua‘i! In May, the DOE served more than 23,000 servings of poi in 4-ounce portions to participating schools for the first time in over a decade.

Discover how poi comes from the farm to your table in this Aloha Authentic segment with Kamaka Pili on KHON2! We're grateful to support local farmers like those with He Mea ‘Ono Poi to help them meet their goal of cultivating kalo and once again making poi a staple in our diet!
