From insects to diseases and nematodes to weeds, tree nuts must ward off many pests throughout each season. Corteva Agriscience has proven solutions to help growers protect their orchards and allow the crop to excel through harvest. View example application programs below or, for a personalized application plan, reach out to your local Corteva experts.
Insect damage can lead to other issues, such as fungal diseases, and reduce yield potential this year and future years. Corteva Agriscience offers solutions, such as Intrepid 2F®, Intrepid Edge® and Delegate® WG insecticides to control NOW, peach twig borers, leafrollers and more.

With a unique mode of action, Intrepid 2F insecticide is ideal to include in your resistance management plan. Plus, while it controls the harmful insects, Intrepid 2F does not disrupt beneficial insects, mites and pollinators.
Untreated Untreated tree nuts can be susceptible to problems that can impact their growth, yield, and quality. Two of the most troublesome diseases in tree nuts are brown rot blossom blight and Botrytis (jacket) rot. Brown rot affects blossoms, branches, and shoots, causing them to wilt and develop cankers. Jacket rot creates brown spots on petals that can lead to secondary infections and rotting fruit. | ![]() |
Treated Disease management in tree nuts, such as almonds, pistachios, and walnuts, is essential for maintaining crop health and maximizing yield potential. Fungicides are often used as part of an integrated disease management program. Application timing, proper coverage, and rotation of active ingredients are important considerations to minimize the risk of resistance development. | ![]() |
![]() | Fontelis® fungicide features a FRAC Group 7 active ingredient that gives you the flexibility to use the full rate and rotate or tank-mix with other modes of action (MOA). This can be especially important in years when more than one application is needed to limit pressure to any one MOA. Fontelis fungicide should be applied preventively at full bloom, petal fall or about five weeks post-petal fall. |

Nematode Nemesis
Nematodes attack tree roots, which do not grow back, and restrict the tree’s ability to take up water and nutrients. With the affected trees stunted and weak, they may show a lack of vigor and reduced cropping. Nematode damage also predisposes trees to other issues, such as sunburn, branch wilt, flatheaded borer and deep bark canker.1 By controlling nematodes and limiting the issues they cause, you may increase your yield potential and have more marketable crops.

Salibro nematicide controls plant-parasitic nematodes, while being compatible with beneficial nematodes, fungi and bacteria. As a true nematicide, Salibro nematicide offers a new mode of action to help with resistance management. |

Hulk® CA herbicide with Rinskor® active is a new and effective Group 4 herbicide offering excellent broadleaf control. Through systemic activity, it controls emerged, susceptible weeds and prevents regrowth. |
