Over two successful days at Diddly Squat Farm, we welcomed growers, agronomists and industry partners to discuss the future of UK agriculture, showcase our latest innovations and share practical solutions for modern farming. We were delighted by the level of engagement across the event and the opportunity to demonstrate how Corteva continues to support UK growers through innovation in crop protection, seeds and biologicals. At the April Cereals Event crop plot day, Alex Nichols, Marketing Manager at Corteva Agriscience UK, shared his views on crop performance, innovation and the future of farming.
Corteva Agriscience showcased its latest grower focused innovations and practical solutions for modern farming at Diddly Squat Farm on 10–11 June 2026.
With a strong pipeline of crop protection, seed and biological innovations, Corteva continues to invest in technologies designed to help UK growers maximise productivity, manage risk and build resilience into their farming systems. Cereals provides the perfect opportunity to see these solutions performing in the field, speak directly to Corteva’s technical experts and explore how they can be applied on farm.
Since 2019, Corteva has brought a wide range of new products to market for UK growers, spanning cereal fungicides, oilseed rape and grassland herbicides, seed genetics and biologicals. This sustained period of innovation reflects the company’s long-term commitment to research and development, and to delivering solutions that respond to evolving agronomic, regulatory and environmental pressures.
Visitors to stand 1044 were able to meet Corteva’s technical and commercial teams, view crop plots, earn CPD points and take part in informed, practical discussions about how Corteva’s portfolio fits within profitable and sustainable rotations.

Herbicide and fungicide solutions – bringing growers innovation and reliability
Arable growers found out more about new Broadway® Ultra, a powerful herbicide delivering flexible control of key grass weeds as well as challenging broadleaved weeds in winter wheat and winter triticale.
Our team were on hand to discuss proven solutions, including Univoq™ for cereal disease control, and why fungicide programmes need to combine different modes of action. In addition, we were showcasing Zorvec Entecta™ for potato late blight, alongside oilseed rape herbicides such as new LaDiva®, Belkar®, Astrokerb® and Kerb® Flo 500 for autumn use.
While many of these solutions are spring focused, Cereals also provided a valuable opportunity to reflect on how crops - and our products - performed earlier in the season, as well as to discuss how our market leading cereal herbicide range, including Zypar® and Broadway® Star, can meet weed control needs during autumn.
ProClova® XL is a wide-spectrum, clover-safe herbicide suitable for use in newly sown leys and established grassland. ProGrass™ is a fast-acting solution for the control of docks, nettles, buttercups, dandelions and other difficult-to-control weeds in established grassland. New for this year, Thistlex® Pro offers an even wider spectrum of control, replacing Thistlex® and delivering excellent results not only on thistles, but also on buttercups and dandelions. For maize, we have two highly effective, wide-spectrum grass and broad-leaved weed herbicides: Dragster® and Principal® Forte.
Pioneer® seed progress and celebrating 100 years
Pioneer celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. Since 1926, Pioneer has been at the forefront of agricultural innovation, starting with the introduction of hybrid maize and continuing with many scientific breakthroughs in plant genetics. The team will ensured growers enjoyed the on-stand celebrations, while also learning more about the Pioneer product range.
Maize growers could speak to Corteva’s specialist team about the maize hybrid P68106, a very early maturing hybrid suited to forage, biogas and grain production. New to the Pioneer range for 2026, P68106 has been highlighted in the latest trials for its strong early vigour, reliable dry down and consistent performance across sites, making it a flexible option where early harvest and rotational fit are key priorities.
Oilseed rape plots will highlight hybrids including PT303 and PT322, combining superior agronomic performance with tolerance to sclerotinia and partial resistance to verticillium stem stripe.
The growing role of biologicals
Corteva’s rapidly expanding biologicals portfolio was also a key focus.. This includes the biostimulant BlueN™, an effective nutrient use efficiency tool to help growers achieve consistent yield gains and superior quality and Kinsidro® Grow+, designed to stimulate root and shoot development thereby increasing crop resilience. Corteva’s biological solutions are designed to complement existing agronomy programmes and support more resilient cropping systems.
Investing in seed applied technologies
Seed treatments continue to play a vital role in supporting crops in a changing climate and Corteva sees seed applied technologies as a key area to invest. Ympact® is a novel biostimulant seed treatment that actively enhances plant growth and resilience. Inspired by nature and developed using advanced nutrient technology, Ympact contains humic and fulvic acids bonded with key micronutrients (zinc, copper, manganese) essential for early plant development.
